A mixed ability class suitable for all ages and abilities. Each week we will focus on a different theme and sequence of postures (eg forward bends, backbends, hips, shoulders etc) and these will be adapted to the groups ability and needs using props and supports (belts. blocks, bricks, bolsters and chairs). We will also work towards and practice inversions such as shoulder balance (Sarvangasana) and head balance( Sirsasana) which are a key part of an Iyengar yoga practice (although there is no need to be able to do these, alternatives will be given where needed).
